If you grew up during the Cold War, there is still something a bit off about the fact that just about anyone can jump on an airplane and be standing in the middle of Moscow in just a few hours. After all, no city was more demonized over the last fifty years than Moscow. Today, the city is still trying to come to terms with the fact that the Iron Curtain fell and something resembling democracy and capitalism is trying to take hold. If you can get past the perception of Moscow as a Cold War relic, you’ll discover that it is one of the most beautiful, most diverse and most pleasant places to visit, although it is quite a bit nicer during the summer. Take a look at what this old world city has to offer. The one thing the old communist guard did while in power was preserve many old historic sites which are now huge tourist attractions around the city. You don’t have to love history to love Moscow, but if you do, you might not ever want to leave. It may come as a surprise to many but there are even quite a few beautiful old churches standing that survived the communist era rule and today stand as monuments to people’s unyielding acceptance of faith. However, if historic sites aren’t your thing, Moscow still has plenty to offer the weary traveler. While it may be a few more years before Moscow’s dining scene is on par with Manhattan, there are more than a few magical restaurants and dining experiences to savor here. We may not think of Russian food as a first choice when we order out, but there is much to be said for the local cuisine here, and the best part is, there are many excellent restaurants in and around the main tourist centers that serve excellent examples, and not all of them are super expensive, either. Make time to sample as many of these jewels as you can since the local economy still isn’t quite settled and the city suffers from some of the highest inflation in the world, you never know when your favorite dining spot will disappear. If there is one measuring stick that Moscow meets and usually exceeds expectations on, it is hotels. Moscow was still a grand city, even under communist rule, and had to play host to kings, queens, dignitaries and world events for decades and that history is readily apparent in the dozens of fine hotel spaces here. That’s not to say that there aren’t any affordable rooms here, there are, but if you are going to travel half way around the world to go on vacation, why do it on the cheap? There is a much better chance you will enjoy yourself much more if you pay the extra room rate and go all in. Moscow is a beautiful and still somewhat mysterious city to many Western travelers and it is a once in a lifetime destination, so read up and enjoy yourself! Locations Available For Franchise:-
